Worthington Masonry
Award winning stone artist

Katherine is a London-based architectural stone carver/sculptor, letter cutter and mason who has worked consistently since 1997.

Katherine first spent four years in London working as an employee of several major stonework companies. She then became self-employed and set up her own business Worthington Stone Carving in 2004. In this capacity she has worked as a subcontractor on many major and minor restoration projects in the UK and Australia encompassing a wide range of architectural styles. She undertakes original commissions in her own right including sculpture, public art (including church furnishings) and portraiture (for which she received an award). An example is the modelling and carving of portraiture heads for Westminster Abbey's Chapter House. To see this work and her exhibitions click here or on the main SCULPTURE button above.

Katherine has ample space and machinery to handle large stones. For example the 2 metre high Lion and Unicorn on London Hippodrome, Leicester Square shown above and also the marble altar suite for St Peter and St Pauls Church. The latter contributed to the reordering of the church which won an award.

She offers creative suggestions, modelling and design, discussions of stone techniques and on-site installation.
